• Utilize science and engineering practices

• Investigate biochemical life processes, cellular organization, mechanisms of inheritance, dynamic relationships among organisms, and changes in organisms through time

• Emphasize the importance of research that validates and or challenges ideas

• Study advanced biology content in preparation for AP Biology and other advanced biology coursework

• Investigate core curriculum concepts of Biology through unifying themes with an emphasis on medical application

• Use mathematical and scientific techniques and laboratory experiences to diagnose, analyze, and solve problems

• Requires additional complex application of the content through additional lab work and  student  independent research 

Students will take the Biology SOL to earn one verified credit
