Description
Studies the development of the individual from conception to death. Follows a life-span perspective on the development of the person’s physical, cognitive, and psychosocial growth.
Comprehend the key concepts of research and statistics, nature versus nurture as well as biological, cognitive, personality, and social development
Utilize cross-curricular learning communities
Major Topics Include
History and theories of life-span development, to include physical, cognitive, and socioemotional development across the lifespan
Prenatal development
Development in infancy and toddlerhood
Early childhood development
Middle childhood development
Adolescence
Early adulthood
Middle adulthood
Late adulthood
Death and dying
