Hermitage High School

  • A variety of real-life, hands-on skills training for a medical career to achieve industry certifications/licenses.

  •  All students must successfully complete the Economics and Personal Finance course.

  • All Health and Medical elective courses require Work-Based Learning hours with direct client/patient care

  • Dual Enrollment for Health and Medical Elective Pharmacy Technician: HLT 101, HLT 143, HLT 250, HLT 261, HLT 262

  • Dual Enrollment for Health and Medical Elective Nurse Aide: HCT 101 and HCT 102

  • Preparation for industry certifications and licenses in the following areas:  Workplace Readiness, National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), National Health Science Assessment, National Academy of Sports Medicine Sports Performance Specialist (PES), CPR/First Aid, Lifeguard, Learn to Swim, National Council Licensure Examination  for Practical Nursing (NCLEX-PN), Elanco Veterinary Medical Applications Certification, Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

  • Dual Enrollment options Junior and Senior years for: English (ENG 111, 112, 242, 244), Math (MTH 155, 161), History (DE 121, 122, PLS 135, 136), Science (BIO 101, 141)

  • All courses are subject to change based on availability

  • AP Biology is not a required 12th grade course. It is solely the ACE health and medical specialties for upperclassmen and science electives are choice.

Fees

  • Each dual enrollment class will have a $50 fee.
